Sounds good -- the branch is dev-nxg-20040116-add-fpp-support. If
you do that, could you add a mention to doc/autoconf.texi as well,
and a line to ./ChangeLog?
Same for any VOLATILE test. I wonder if we're getting too many
separate small tests, here. On balance I think probably not, because
we're probably still under the number of C tests in the `compiler
characteristics' section of the autoconf manual.
This branch will be a little busier soon(ish), as Toby White has made
quite a few changes to it to support f9x compilers. I'm going to
merge those onto the HEAD at some point to check that everything's
still working from our point of view, and Toby will do the same with
another large project that uses these extensions, and only after that
will we submit it to the autoconf and automake mainline. There's an
entry for thirdparty/fsf/autoconf in CVSROOT/loginfo -- anyone doing
stuff on this branch might want to add themself to that.
