Peter Allan came by earlier and asked if we still have STARLSE files, as
he thinks the library definitions we used could apply to emacs. I could
find no trace. Even Martin's drawer of retired packages doesn't have
it.
Having written some more-than-trivial Fortran for the first time in a
few years, I must say that I miss the prologue-writing, subroutine
expansion feature, and ADAM programming constructs we had in the Vax
days. Also having encountered lots of KAPPA source with comment lines
longer than 72 characters, the wrapping feature for comments was a boon.
What LSE tools are you using (we know Mark is happy with vi), and how
easy is would it be to generate automatically subroutine APIs for it? A
few months back I did play with eclipse, but that was with Java in mind.
