Journal of Interprofessional Care
Call for Papers
A Competition for Students
The Journal of Interprofessional Care invites teams of student authors
from
pre and post-licensure programs in any country to submit manuscripts to
be
considered for publication in a special supplement. Each author to a
maximum of five for each accepted paper will also receive an award of
$500
(Canadian). The Journal acknowledges with thanks generous support for
this
initiative from Health Canada.
Teams of authors must consist of not less than two contributors
representing not less than two health or social care professions.
Authors
are encouraged to contribute from their unique perspectives on
interprofessional education and practice. Submissions will be
strengthened
by the inclusion of diverse programs and perspectives. Each team must
engage a faculty mentor from one of their education programs, who agrees
to
advise the authors in the development of their manuscript. Submissions
must
be accompanied by contact information from each contributing author as
well
as for the faculty mentor, including both e-mail and postal address.
Manuscripts will be reviewed by a panel of scholars and researchers in
interprofessional care drawn from the Journal's Editorial Board.
Criteria
for selection will include the quality of ideas, relevance and strength
of
supporting evidence, and clarity of writing. Account will also be taken
of
the development of novel insights, observations, and opportunities for
improvement. Manuscripts should draw on and reflect the diversity of
professions represented by the contributors.
Manuscripts must conform to the Journal's Notes for Contributors
(provided
in each edition and on line at:
www.tandf.co.uk/journals/authors/cjicauth.asp).
The deadline for submissions is September 30, 2005.
