Copper John and his ruined mansion by John Edwards. The Daily Mail,
Wednesday, August 17, 2005 p 14.
The article describes in some detail Daphne du Maurier's book Hungry Hill
and her friendship with the Puxley family which encouraged her to write the
novel. John Puxley began mining in the Beara Peninsular in 1812 and du
Maurier's book, later made into a film gives an interesting insight in
colonial times in south west Ireland.
