At North West Kent College we have had considerable difficulties in "removing" a mast after a trial period, despite no contract existing. We are now into the "legalities" stage.
If anyone wishes to have more details, please feel free to contact the David Holland, Corporate Secretary at college.

Subject: Telecomunications Mast Upgrades
Hi
Our College has several telecommunications masts sited upon the roof.
We of course, get a lot of concern expressed from staff, students and
nearby residents regarding possible harmful emissions and therefore
oppose vigorously any further mast development proposals.
Two years ago we refused a communications company permission to upgrade
their equipment (contractually 'Not to be Unreasonably with-held') on
the grounds of strong local opposition to the masts and the company
reluctantly acceded to our refusal.
However another company have now informed us of their intention to
upgrade "regardless of any opposition we may have".
I would be grateful to hear from anyone else having any similar
experiences to share, and request any other advice on the subject.
Thanks in anticipation.
