Stephen
In my own research the worst offenders of hate crimes against disabled
people in this country are the local authorities themselves and other public
bodies too. They seem to be self-protected, How and Why?
Disabled people are currently unable to make complaints against any Officers
working with Councils and other public bodies, especially has they have no
protection under current legislation when the perpetrators of this abuse are
within the local public authorities and others public bodies too, including
local Health Trusts.
There are no safe-guards mechanisms in place within current social policies
and procedure to protect disabled people against all forms of abuse from
Officers working within public bodies, especially also under Protection Of
Vulnerable Adults Scheme(POVA).
This needs to be brought to the urgent attention of the UK Government and
rectified immediately, under current basic human rights and civil liberties
legislation and within the UN Disability Convention
I have brought this issue up on numerous occasions and I am sending a copy
of this email to Dr Richard Light, UK delegate to the Un Disability
Convention where I am involved in working with him and others there very
closely. I will also included Dr Richard Reiser too, if you know him too.

especially within 'neurodiversity'
