Welcome to the July 2005 Maple Software Update

Dear Mr Surowiec
234255

In this issue:

1. Announcing nVizx: a new MapleConnect Premier Product

nVizx for Maple enables users who work with complex mathematical data and
multi-dimensional models and images to generate dynamic, high-resolution 3D
objects and scenes from large data sets and complex calculations in seconds with
precise detail on a typical WindowsÆ personal computer. Images created with nVizx
can be saved in standard graphics file formats and pasted into Maple worksheets.

2. MapleNet 10 now shipping

Integrated with Maple 10, MapleNet 10 enables users to quickly, easily (and
without the need for additional programming) produce and share interactive online
technical documents with colleagues and customers even if they don't have Maple
installed on their PC!

Find out more about this latest version online at...

3. Brand New Applications with Maple 10
(N.B. you will need Maple 10 to run these applications)

McCabe-Thiele Distillation with Maple 10
This application demonstrates the use of Maple to explore binary fractional
distillation. It shows how to calculate the required number of theoretical stages
for a set of specified operating parameters via the McCabe-Thiele method.

Download the application at...

Liquid Flow Through a Pump with Maple 10
This worksheet will calculate the flowrate of water received through a pipe from
a centrifugal pump.

Download the worksheet at...
http://vole.adeptscience.co.uk/t/3599/214683/65512/0/

4. Maple 10 - save time with the Handwriting Recognition feature

When creating your own equations, you can use Maple 10's new Handwriting
Recognition to quickly find the symbol you want from the huge range of over 1000
maths symbols available in Maple. Simply use the mouse to sketch the character in
the Symbol Recognition palette, just like you would draw it on paper. The symbol
recognizer will search through all the symbols and find the one you need.

View a video demonstration to see this feature at work...
