hi andy
i think you may be interested in the following link:
http://www.radio4all.org/
i've found this to have the most comprehensive list of alternative audio
sites, my favourite one is:
http://www.unwelcomeguests.org
it has a huge searchable database of interviews with well-known and unknown
activists (look for the link saying "show archieve", homepage does the site
little justice). you can download interviews as mp3, the connection is
*Very* slow, but well worth it! but bewarned, i find that the interviews can
be very addictive and distracting so it may be best listen to them while
your not trying to get some work done :)
hope this helps.
and may i personally say thank you to everyone for sharing their favourite
website. i've particularly enjoyed reading them (and bookmarked all of
them!) and i think many other people on the list feel the same way :)
keep up the good work

I picked sites which had some kind of radio
streaming,
because I've been trying to reduce my
dependence on broadcast radio 4 for my
news and analysis
