I have picked up an ununited scaphoid as an incidental finding. Although
possibly not symptomatic at the time, I still worried about the
patient's future.
I scrutinised the notes (and maybe x-rays) from the original injury and
couldn't really fault the management.
I have also seen people whose scaphoid fractures have taken a month to
show on x-ray.
