Applications are invited for the post in the Planning and Landscape Discipline within the School of Environment and Development.
The successful candidate will be expected to assist on an ESRC funded project under the New Security Challenges programme which is investigating the way in which new security threats are impacting upon established and emergent notions and management of resilience in provincial cities and regions in the UK.
We are seeking a researcher with a PhD (at or near completion) in a cognate discipline such as urban planning, human geography, political science, international relations. Candidates must also have skills and experience in qualitative case study based research and in particular interviewing. They must have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and have the ability to be flexible in regard to hours of work as the job demands.
The appointment will be available for a period of 12 months from November 2005.

£19,460 p.a.
