I wanted to bring a job opportunity to the attention of people on this
list. We have a new position at Cal State, Long Beach in Contemporary
Indian Studies. The person could be housed in the Geography Department.
I am member of the Search Committee and a delegation of Committee
members will be attending the South Asian Conference in Madison,
Wisconsin this October. The ad is lengthy and attached below. Please
feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the position.
By the way, this is a different job from our other position in feminist
geography, but we are certainly encouraging feminist and other critical
geographers with interest in South Asia to apply (note: it could be at
the Associate level with tenure).
Cheers,
Vincent
