One model that may be worth looking at is the one used by another list I
suscribe too called Microsound
http://www.microsound.org/
As you will see they have a vibrant website where projects discussed and
organised on the list are published. They also have a wiki and a Hotline
server for posting project files but at the the heart it is a list. As far
as I know there has not been any discussion to move away from the list
format as it is discussion that is at the heart of this community and a
Listserv is the best way of promoting this. There is ofen discussion about
what tools to augment the list with to aid the other activities list members
take part in, such as the best way to transfer project files etc.
best

Subject: [WDL] del.icio.us/ - still on blogging
I've been thinking about whether a simultanous blog might work, and it
occurs to me that the del.icio.us site I set up for this list to use
hasn't really worked. see http://del.icio.us/cornucopia Very few
people (mostly me, actually!) have been adding links to it, preferring
to include them in postings instead. This is understandable and of
course much easier to do. But the idea of the del.icio.us site is to
snapshot the shape of the list and get a sense of our collective
priorities and interests. However, and I'm not being grumpy here, just
pointing out, that it hasn't attracted much attention.
