Join us for an e-learning roadshow on 7th. or 8th. September.
The Higher Education Academy's Subject Centre for Social Policy and Social Work
(SWAP) will be facilitating a 'hands-on' e-learning workshops for social policy
and social work educators at University of Wales, Bangor (7th.) and UWIC (8th.).
These events are intended for educators who have an interest in using
e-learning, and will demonstrate its potential in social policy and
social work education. Each workshop can accommodate up to 24
participants; refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.
Content will include some or all of the following:
'Blended learning' and VLEs
Showcasing of e-learning products and resources
Sharing of good practice and participants' work-in-progress
Identifying possible collaborations and funding sources
Developing and sustaining support systems for e-learning.
Programme for each location:
10.00 a.m. Welcome and introductions
10.15 a.m. Some key aspects of current e-learning in higher education
10.30 a.m. 'Hands-on' Session 1 11.30 a.m. Break 11.45 a.m. 'Hands-on'
Session 2 12.30 p.m. Discussion of a.m. sessions - outcomes and plans
12.45 p.m. Lunch and networking 2.00 p.m. 'Hands-on' Session 3 3.30
p.m. Discussion of p.m. sessions; future actions (with tea) 4.00
p.m. Finish and depart
