Hi Christine,
For more information on the costs of maintaining electronic records you
could look at the ERPANET website (Electronic Resource Preservation and
Access Network). Go to ERPAassessments
(http://www.erpanet.org/assessments/). Entering the word “costs” in the
search box will produce a list of articles you can consult for further
information. You might also want to look at the ERPAguidance Cost
Orientation tool http://www.erpanet.org/guidance/docs/ERPANETCostingTool.pdf.
Lastly, if you are interested in attending a training event, the Digital
Curation Centre and Digital Presevation Coalition are holding a workshop on
Cost Models for Preserving Digital Assets at the British Library on Tuesday
26th July. One of the speakers (Andy Rothwell, Cornwell Management
Consultants plc) will be speaking on Costing EDRM Programmmes. For more
info please see: http://www.dcc.ac.uk/training/cm-2005/
Kind regards
Mags McGinley
