Within the 2005 UK Development Studies Association
conference, we will be holding a track on "Information,
Technology and Development".
In addition to plenary presentations of relevance from the
LSE's Prof. Robin Mansell and Prof. Lynn Mytelka from
UNU-Maastricht, we will be holding track sessions during
every day of the conference incorporating 24 papers
from international speakers.
This will therefore be the largest event on issues of
information, ICTs and development in the UK for many years;
bolstered by the fact that other tracks will be holding sessions
about technology and development.
The conference, "Connecting People and Places: Challenges
and Opportunities for Development", will be held 7-9
September 2005 at the Open University in Milton Keynes.
We would welcome your attendance at this event: to register
(and get other details such as accommodation and travel), go
to:
http://www.devstud.org.uk/conference.htm
If you have specific queries about the track, then email me.
Please note that this is not a call for presentations: the track is
already full, and that participants cover their own costs.
