The PFEG resources are very good; we are going to run it next year so I can't speak from direct experience. There is an A-level to go with them, and this has been piloted in a number of schools. The PFEG people will tell you which schools, and they have education officers whose job it is to advise people who want to start it. The exams are 'on demand' and linked electronically to the Driving Test centres - so your students can book themselves in when they feel ready to sit the AS and then the A2, and they will know their result before they leave (or so I am told). If you phased the course over KS4 and finished it off in Yr 12, you can then claim the fundung from the LSC. The qualification also carries UCAS points. My view is that the nature of the qualification means it is possible for most KS4 pupils to follow the course and get some benefit, and I guess to be told they're doing an AS (even the slower ones) would be very motivating.
