I host Moodle externally to our in-house VLE as I teach similar courses
in different colleges.
I use cpanelx.co.uk which allows, via the fantastico icon, even
technical novices to install Moodle remotely within minutes, using a
built in wizard.
This works well for me, not too sure how scaleable it would be though!

the uk-based ones are extremely expensive..
desptie the fat that they are really cheap, the
support is very good :o it uses CPanel as well to make
thigns easier..
