Two PhD Studentships in Urban and Cultural Geography
Applications are invited for two three year PhD studentships in any area of
Urban and Cultural Geography, particularly from students who are interested in
working in the following areas:
• Cultural Economies of the City
• Geographies of Embodiment and Materiality
• Spaces of Marginality/Disorganisation
• Globalization of Sexuality
• Geographies of Religion
• Cybercultures
• Transnational Networks
• Citizenship, Governance and Risk
• Geographies of Food
Preference may be given to applicants with, or shortly expected to complete a
First Class degree or Masters degree in Human Geography, Cultural Geography or
a
related field. The studentships will include payment of fees plus a bursary to
cover living costs (£12,000 in 2005/06).
