I am confused by the d-cache s/w licience. The rpm distributed
distributed with 2_4_0 states says it has an open source license:
rpm -qip d-cache-core-1.5.2-74.i386.rpm
Name : d-cache-core Relocations: (not relocatable)
Version : 1.5.2 Vendor: (none)
Release : 74 Build Date: Mon 14 Mar 2005
09:34:03 AM GMT
Install Date: (not installed) Build Host: zitpcx4298.desy.de
Group : Applications/System Source RPM:
d-cache-core-1.5.2-74.src.rpm
Size : 9542784 License: Open Source
Signature : (none)
Summary : d-cache Server
Description :
RPM to install dCache core, created by Michael Ernst/DESY 11/02/04
what Open Source license exactly.
However:
http://www.dcache.org/downloads.shtml
clearly states it is not Open Source
Does anyone know if the license has changed? Or what has happened?
I understood it was GridPP policy to only develop and use Open Source s/w. Is
hope this is still the case?
cheers,
Alex
