Whether or not this is the actual problem in this case, do avoid
putting in this literal string. The autoconf macro AC_PATH_XTRA does
appropriate magic, and is used elsewhere.
Also, the STAR_PATH_TCLTK macro might be relevant.

This has been working for quite a while, now, and I'm not aware of
anything relevant having changed. But Peter's the expert.
