ESRC CASE studentship
Department of Sociological Studies, University of Sheffield in collaboration
with the UK Department for Work and Pensions. The studentship is fully funded
for 3 years (tuition fees plus £16,000pa) beginning October 1st 2005.
Project title:
A conceptual and comparative analysis of how social security and benefits
systems in OECD countries affect the labour market participation of partnered
women
Supervisors: Zoe Irving and Bob Deacon (University of Sheffield) and Jenny
Crook
(DWP)
Applications are invited from candidates with undergraduate degrees in Social
Policy or related discipline and a Masters qualification in line with ESRC +3
requirements. Please note that ESRC studentships are restricted to UK residents
and EU nationals (tuition fees only).
