No wonder my Samsung phone makes that defeaning shutter sound that is impossible to switch off!

In Japan and South Korea the issues around the abuse of mobile phone
cameras have been more to do with illicit 'upskirt' photography on
escalators etc. (often also of schoolgirls) - in S. Korea, the problem
was considered so serious that a law was passed a couple of years ago
forcing manufacturers to make all mobile phone cams emit a loud
'shutter' sound so that such photography would no longer be secret and
Japan has considered similar action - the police have certainly started
to crack down on this (along with molestation of women and girls on
packed commuter trains)...
