Course on Mediatechnology
The faculty of Science & Technology at the Hogeschool van Utrecht,
University of Professional Education, has about 6000 students and 500
employees and is one of the largest technical faculties within the
Dutch professional education.The faculty has four departments: Building
& Construction, Business Engineering, Life Science & Chemistry and
Innovation, Industry & Informatics.
The department of innovation, industry & informatics is responsible for
bachelor- and masters-education in the fields of Mediatechnology,
Mechanical-, Electrical-, Process- and Information Engineering. The
course on mediatechnology is a fulltime study resulting in a bachelor
degree of engineering. This course is situated in Amersfoort, about 30
km northeast of Utrecht and about 60 km from Amsterdam. The course in
mediatechnology is organised in a multidisciplinary way, divided in 70%
technical en 30% non-technical subjects. Within the course students can
focus on fields of Gametechnology & Simulation, Sound & Vision and Human
Computer Interaction. Quick changes within this market provide us with
the need to search for commercial and flexible employees, with a drive
for working in multi-disciplinary composed teams. We are especially
looking for:
TEACHER HUMAN-COMPUTER-INTERACTION (F/M)
0,8 FTE
The job
* You are part of the HCI team, which is responsible for the minor
Physical User Interfaces and the semester HCI;
* You help to develop the education in HCI within mediatechnology
* You teach introductions on principles of interaction as well as more
detailed courses on usability, cognitive psychology en haptical
interfaces;
* You are involved as a tutor with students performing practical stages
and in their graduation phase;
* You take part in the organisational aspects of mediatechnology;
* You maintain relations with external persons and instutions in the
field of HCI.
We are looking for someone with:
* A bachelor- or masters degree in a field related tot
human-computer-interaction, preferably cognitive psychology;
* Sufficient knowledge in the field of (cognitive) psychological
principles, interaction principles, task analysis, usability testing and
design methods, for instance based on scenario based techniques;
* Interest in education and in the implementation of new didactical
concepts as in competence based education;
* The following personal qualities: stress-proof and focussing on
results, students and service;
* Ability to speak and write in English
* Didactical experience;
* Experience in the field of project-management
