Is this the right course for you?
Technology pervades nearly every aspect of everyday life in the home, at work and in leisure and study. The MSc in Advanced Interactive Technologies (AIT) offers a new opportunity to extend your knowledge and skills of developing, using or evaluating technology to enhance work, play and learning. The programme has been designed for graduates and professionals from a variety of backgrounds in order to encourage interdisciplinary approaches to interaction design, research and development.
What is it like to study on the AIT programme?
Students will engage with academics working at the forefront of research in the UK to explore the latest thinking and developments in technology-mediated interaction in the digital age. The course will encourage you to explore both practical and theoretical insights in interaction design, and offers participants first-hand experience of research bridging laboratory studies and real user contexts.
Core modules include an exploration of innovative technologies, advanced research methods, factors of interaction design and the psychological aspects of learning and cognition. You will also be able to select from a range of topics including games design, virtual, mixed and other realities, and applications of online and mobile computing.
The course will be offered to qualified applicants on a full time basis.
