DESY are working towards an open source licence for dCache. This is
still with their lawyers, and has been for a long time. Meanwhile RAL
has been given access to the source. The GridPP Storage people at RAL
have the task of supporting dCache for GridPP so they should be able to
use the source to fix problems and give you new releases (ie it is of
use to the rest of you). Whether they are geared up to building a
release for a different operating system I cannot say. I suspct all
their time is taken just now helping SC3 sites get it working.
