27th Australian Conference of Health Economists - Call for Papers and
AHES Travel Scholarships
The 27th Australian Conference of Health Economists will be held at the
Hyatt Regency hotel, Auckland, New Zealand on the 29th and 30th
September 2005. Keynote speakers will be: Professor John Mullahy,
University of Wisconsin; Professor Alison Booth, Australian National
University; and Dr Bronwyn Croxson, New Zealand Treasury. For full

Abstracts are invited on any topics relating to health economics. A
discussant is assigned to each paper presented at the conference.
Abstracts should be e-mailed or faxed to Rhema Vaithianathan no later
than 1 August 2005 ([log in to unmask]; Fax: +64 9
373-7427). Authors will be notified of decisions regarding acceptance
by 15 August 2005, and will be required to provide a full copy of their
paper to the discussant by 16 September 2005. Expressions of interest
in being a discussant are also welcome and should be submitted by 1
August 2005.
The Australian Health Economics Society is also funding two AHES Travel
Scholarships to assist junior researchers in the Asia-Pacific region to
attend the 2005 Conference and present a paper. Further details on
these scholarships are available from the AHES web site
(http://www.ahes.org.au/). Anyone wishing to be considered for these
scholarships must have their complete conference paper submitted by 1
August 2005.
