if you subscribe to the moodle community you WILL find
people who implemented MAMBO in moodle. the files are
over there, all you have to do is put them together, a
piece of cake :)
as for what to use, it depends on you people, policies
and practicies in two levels (1) your institution and
(b) your users. for example if you need your users to
learn C++ in 3 months you are supposed to use a very
structured course, chatting is not allowed (almost),
summative evaluation is required (assignemnts).
the targets, visions, policies, practices etc for the
two are supposed to be the same but it never happens
