My understanding is that the password in site-info.def is the mysql "root"
password (only needed from the MON box during configuration).
The "accounting" user's password is in /opt/edg/etc/edg-rgma/apel.xml, and
needs to be usable from both the MON box and the CE.
I think "producer" is the R-GMA DBProducer, rather than a part of APEL,
but I'm not sure.

I just tested by using the command lines from crontab, CE first.

Your password looks right, so you might have a problem with which hosts
you can connect from, rather than its value per se.
I had to specify the FQDN on the MON box in
its /opt/edg/etc/edg-rgma/apel.xml instead of localhost. I forget WHY,
though...
