Following the discussion at todays meeting, Dave added a problem
category for Apel.
http://goc.grid.sinica.edu.tw/gocwiki/FrontPage
Click "Lcg install issues"
Click Apel under LCG2_4_0
This takes you to:
http://goc.grid.sinica.edu.tw/gocwiki/Execution_script_failure which
says that 3.4.45 is the latest version with the script fix, and the URL
where the RPM can be obtained.
In answer to Owen's specific question: Upgrade Apel on the CE and MON
nodes.

Subject: APEL questions
Hi,
If I understood correctly, during the TB-Support discussion, a default
LCG-2_4_0 installation will leave APEL in a non-working state?
There was some discussion of the fix to this, but could we have a clear
and simple recipe distributed to this list (or a link to a webpage
giving such a recipe) on how to fix a default LCG-2_4_0 installation so
that APEL starts working again?
cheers,
Owen.
ps. There was also some discussion of how sites were supposed to know
that such fixes were necessary.
My suggestion would be this:
- On the webpage
http://grid-deployment.web.cern.ch/grid-deployment/cgi-bin/index.cgi?var
=releases
there should also be a link to a list of further fixes required
(preferably each item in the list itself being a link to a page in the
Wiki) after installation.
So a sysadmin doing an install would know which additional steps were
required.
- Each time a new item is added to the list, an announcement is made to
LCG-ROLLOUT so that sysadmins with existing sites would know new fixes
were required.
