I believe the IAR should be your base tool, which will allow you to
identify (and publish) your Publication Scheme and information which is
available under the PSI Re-use. This means that both sets of information
and individual resources would need to be accommodated within the IAR.
Which is extremely do-able.
We are currently conducting a Council-wide information set inventory
here at Hackney, and are using the IPSV to subject-index the sets. I'd
have to say we prefer using the viewer interface at
http://www.esd.org.uk/standards/ipsv/viewer/
Good luck!

Subject: Publication Schemes and Information Asset Registers
I am working on our Publication Scheme and also looking at the impact
that
the new EU Directive on the Re-Use of Public Sector Information will
have
on us and the asset lists we should be publishing.
Is anyone else looking at this area? There seems to be little guidance
for
local authorities on how best to go about implementing this and whether
the Publication Scheme will simply be absorbed into the Information
Asset
Register.
What are other people's views on this? Are people considering just
having
a publications resource that will cover the Scheme and the Asset
Register?
How will it impact on the classes of information in the Publication
Scheme?
I also wondered what people think of the Integrated Public Sector
Vocabulary (IPSV) as a means of classifying the information within the
Information Asset Register/Publication Scheme.
Any feedback welcomed.
