Records Systems Supervisor
Location: The Children's Society Records and Archive Centre, Bermondsey,
London
Salary: £17,850 - £22,239 Including London Weighting
The Records and Archive Centre is responsible for providing a corporate
records management, data protection and historic archive service for The
Children's Society.
You will maintain and develop a range of administrative services designed to
support the records management, data protection and archive programme. Your
responsibilities will include enquiry work, maintaining the document
retrieval and transfer processes, together with database (CALM software;
training given) and general office work.
You will be educated to A-level standard, with GCSE passes at grade C or
above in English and Maths. You will also need keyboard skills - including
word processing and, preferably, some database experience. A minimum of six
months' general office or administrative experience is required, while
experience obtained in a records centre, archive or similar information
environment would be desirable but not essential. All or part of this
experience can have been obtained in a volunteer capacity.
You should enjoy team work, be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have good
communication skills.
