Hi,
The next meeting of the Scottish Circle of the Records Management Society will
take place on Thursday, June 9th at the National Archives of Scotland from
9.30 to 4.30.
The topic will be that current hot potato – Freedom of Information. It will be
a full day event with a sessions on people’s experiences preparing for
compliance and managing requests for info and a session on best practice and
guidance on compliance with the RM code of the Act. Confirmed speakers include
representatives from Local Government, Further Education, Scottish Police,
Local Government and the Scottish Information Commission.
We will send out the full agenda once we have confirmed all speakers and
presentation titles. I suspect this will be a very well attended event so to
confirm your place please email me as soon as possible – the venue can hold a
maximum of 55. The event will be free including a buffet lunch and non RMS
members are welcome to attend although priority will be given to members.
Please pass this email on to any contacts who are not on the listserv who may
be interested in attending the event.
