Skillset is the Sector Skills Council for the Audio Visual Industries.
Skillset is working with ALT on aspects of the development of our
Certified Membership scheme (CMALT), with a particular focus on how
CMALT might be of relevance to people working in the commercial
e-learning content development world.
Skillset's 2005 survey into "how the industry is shaping up in terms of
issues such as training, qualifications, and skill gaps" has just been
issued and can be completed - in about 10 minutes - on line from
http://www.snapsurveys.com/skillset/.
The survey is rather heavily focused on the broadcast media and games
sectors, but is nevertheless likely to be relevant to people who are
working in technical or "producer" roles in organisations which make use
of e-learning or provide e-learning related products and services to others.
Certainly, completion of the survey by ALT individual members and by
relevant staff in ALT member organisations would help to establish ALT's
profile.
The closing date for completion is Friday 3 June.
