Oes rhywun yn gywbod beth yw'r termau cydnabyddedig ar gyfer y geiriau
hyn?
eligible children/relevant children/former relevant children/qualifying
children.
Dw i di cynnwys y paragraffau lle maen nhw'n ymddangos i roi'r cyd-destun
(plant mewn gofal):
ELIGIBLE CHILDREN:
Eligible children are aged between 16 and 17 and will have been looked
after for at least 13 weeks between the ages of 14 and 16. This also
refers to children who are still being looked after.
RELEVANT CHILDREN:
Relevant children are aged between 16 and 17. If you fall into this
category, you’ll have left care, but you would have been an eligible child
before you left. ‘Relevant children’ is a term that additionally refers to
those who are detained by the criminal justice system or who are in
hospital. If you’ve returned home and it hasn’t worked out you can also be
classified as a relevant child, so long as you go back to the local
authority for help before your 18th birthday.
FORMER RELEVANT CHILDREN:
Former relevant children are aged between 18 and 21 and used to be
classified as relevant children. If you’re getting help with your
education or/and training you remain a former relevant child until the
education/training has ended. This applies even if the education/training
goes beyond your 21st birthday.
QUALIFYING CHILDREN...
Qualifying children and young people over 16 are 16 to 21 years of age, or
16 to 24 if you’re still involved with education/training. This category
also refers to those who were looked after at 16, but are no longer looked
after or accommodated.
Y broblem fwyaf sy da fi yw methu gwahaniaethu rhwng 'eligible children'
a 'qualifying children'. Alla i ddim rhoi 'cymwys' ar gyfer y ddau yn
anffodus!
Byddwn yn gwerthfawrogi unrhyw sylwadau!
Diolch unwaith eto
Steve
