Records Manager
£28,243-£31,313 (incl.LWA)
The University seeks a professionally qualified records manager for an
interesting and varied permanent post based in Archives Services (part of
the Information Systems and Library Services department).
The Records Manager provides advice and assistance on a full range of
records issues and will develop policy initiatives and practical projects.
The Records Manager promotes and advances electronic records management
across the University. You will also support and contribute to the
University’s emerging information compliance strategy.
Strong influencing and negotiating skills will be needed, as well as a
sound understanding of records and information issues. You should have the
ability to articulate records issues and an enthusiasm for introducing them
to new audiences.
The postholder will be expected to develop contacts with academic and
administrative staff across the University, and with other records managers
within the wider professional community.
You will need a professional qualification plus two years experience in
records management, or alternatively a proven track in managing the records
of a large organisation.
