Archives and Records Management, to be held in Liverpool, on 28-29 June
2005. Authors are invited to submit 500 word (max) abstracts by 5 May
2005.
In a joint effort, the universities of Liverpool and Abersytwyth are
pleased to manage this AHRB-funded event, representing the first-ever
opportunity for UK doctoral students to present and discuss their research
within a focused environment and with other archives and records
management academics.
The aim is to provide a forum for doctoral students and others involved in
academic archives and records management (ARM) research to
· share and discuss their research activities
· encourage students to establish and maintain a research network ·
foster a research environment to support career development in the
academic domain of a practical discipline
On a wider basis the conference will
· demonstrate the value of research in the ARM field
· gather evidence to develop a strategic framework for future ARM
research
· explore the merits of an interdisciplinary approach to ARM research
