SCHOOL OF ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONS
CHAIR IN COMMUNICATION AND LANGUAGE SCIENCE (Ref: AC581)
We seek to appoint a senior academic researcher with a strong track record
of international level research publications and research income, to lead
research in the area of communication and language science in the School of
Allied Health Professions within the Institute of Health. The School has an
excellent record of interdisciplinary research and education with a focus on
speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. Its
improving RAE performance and developing infrastructure has secured HEFCE
Capability funds and University investment to further develop its research
profile within the Institute of Health. The postholder will have
opportunities to play a leading role in the developing research strategic
themes across the Institute. The successful candidate will bring a
reputation for research in any discipline relevant to communication and
language science including expertise in speech and language therapy, and
assistive technologies. The initial work of this post will be supported by
a twelve months Research Associate post (FT) in the first year.
