Hi Frank,
Its quick and cheap and we can use it anywhere - Have you ever tried to scan
parish registers, parchment and vellum maps, tithe Maps etc delicate old
and fragile docs - its often impractical causing damage to doc fabric etc
and slow. Old photos and air photos are also easy with a Digital camera
Most archives will not allow you to take a scanner in never mind use it.
We also have about 70.000 digital pics..

This is an amazing effort.
Can you say why you have photographed all these items rather than scanning
them?
