The Third Health Libraries Inc Conference to be held Friday 21 October 2005 at the new RACV Club, Bourke St, Melbourne will bring together librarians and information professionals from all sectors.
This year the theme of our conference is education and training both for ourselves and our clients, whether they be clinicians, students, educators, policy makers or the many others we provide services to. The conference title is 'Instruct, Inform, Innovate' and we are hoping to present a range of papers that will do just that for those attending the conference.
We are looking for papers which will provide an insight into sourcing, assessing and delivering information, how best to train others to source and assess their own information and initiatives in the delivery of training to a broad spectrum of clients.
It is the responsibility of every Library professional to source, manage and deliver relevant information to clients so if you have established an innovative training program or information delivery service how about putting pen to paper and sending us an abstract now.
Guidelines for submitting abstracts of papers:
§ Include title of paper
§ Name of author(s)
§ Up to 300 words in length, clearly stating objectives and issues
§ Keywords describing the content
§ Name of organisation with contact address, phone and fax numbers
§ Email address of contact person
§ Presentations are to be no longer than 20 minutes
With the authors' permission selected papers will be published in Health Inform, the official journal of Health Libraries Inc. Written papers suitable for publication will need to be submitted prior to the conference.
We look forward to seeing you in October 2005
Please send proposals for papers to the Chair, Conference Committee by
