The Wirth for Austrian and Central European Studies of the University
ofAlberta invites applications for a
1-3 year post-doctoral fellowship withan annual value of CAN $40,000 (plus
benefits), effective 1
September2005. Applicants must have an academic specialization in any
disciplinetouching on aspects of
the Habsburg Monarchy or its Central Europeansuccessor states. Applicants
may be no more than 5 years past
theirdoctoral degree and should be fluent in German. An ability to work in
anadditional Central European
language and a broad command of computerskills would be an asset.
The successful candidate will act as an assistant to the Director of
theWirth Institute for Austrian and
Central European Studies and participateactively in the operation and
activities of the Institute. The
