Lilith,
the Disability Rights Commission has all the info: drc-gb.org
Transport: the new Disability Discrimination Act 2005 (yes, it was passed)
will see significant progress in this area -not least in ending the
exemption on public transport under the DDA by 2007. This will mean that
disabled people can expect equal service if they are able to board the
particular vehicle.

Subject: U.K. disability discrimination act :transit equity
Does anyone know whether anticipated amendments to the disability
discrimination act were actually passed in the U.K. parliament?
Specifically, I am wondering whether accessibility in public transit is now
required by law? Does anyone have a link to the actual wording of teh
statute? Thanks so much, Lilith
