Well - perhaps for the early adopters, those who have pioneered - blazing a
trail with the latest technologies, software, approaches etc the term
e-learning has become yet another signpost on the historical map. For the
vast majority of those still struggling with the concept (and yet to
experience it for themselves) perhaps it is not so helpful to begin to
rebrand and rename e-learning. There is much we do not yet know about the
impact of technology on learning and teaching. There are those who believe
in due course there may only be one 'e' in learning meanwhile why don't we
focus our energies on understanding and applying the concept better rather
than postulating yet another term for the same thing!
