Social policy ministers from OECD countries will meet in Paris between 31
March and 1 April, 2005 to discuss how social policies can help individuals
and families achieve their potential and support economic growth.
Information about the forthcoming Meeting of OECD Social Affairs Ministers
"Extending Opportunities: How active social policy can benefit us all" is

The Ministerial discussions will focus on the following issues:
How best to invest in families and children
How to get a better social policy balance between generations.
How to assign rights and responsibilities of different parts of
society in delivering social protection.
How to design active social policies to tackle poverty.
The meeting will also be attended by representatives of civil society,
employers and trade unions. The website contains links to background reading
