*Promoting the Social Inclusion of Young People: The Role of Faith
Communities *
Through a research grant from the Big Lottery Fund, the Churches
Regional Commission in the North East and the University of Durham are
seeking to appoint two researchers to work on a participatory action
research project seeking to explore the role of faith communities in
promoting the social inclusion of young people. We are looking for two
researchers who have experience in social scientific research methods,
especially qualitative research, and in work with young people. The
researchers appointed will need to demonstrate a capacity to make
constructive research relationships in the context of a wide range of
different faith communities.
The research will be managed by the Churches Regional Commission in the
North East and University of Durham in partnership. The researchers will
be employees of the University of Durham and members of the Durham
Centre for Applied Social Research.
