Professor
Psycho-Social Studies
School of Applied Social Science, University of Brighton
£46,177
The School of Applied Social Science has a rapidly expanding group of
sociologists and critical psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists and
social workers committed to inter-disciplinary psycho-social studies. We now
wish to appoint a foundation professor in Psycho-Social Studies to lead the
Psycho-Social Research Group and contribute to an MSc in Psycho-Social
Studies commencing in 2006. You will work alongside our well-established
Health and Social Policy Research Centre, led by the Professor of Health and
Social Care, and an expanding research group in critical criminology. With a
background in a relevant social science and an international reputation in
research, you will shape the further development of this inter-disciplinary
area. A proven record of attracting research funding and research students,
an excellent publications record and the ability to offer collaborative
academic leadership to a dynamic staff group is also essential.
