Re Colins' query on old enquiries - by chance I taught a social work
class today on child protection and the details in the Laming report on
Victoria Climbie shock the students and remind me of how important it is
to learn the lessons from these enquiries. Obviously this one is easily
accessible online so I put Maria Caldwell into google - my first
experience of reading an enquiry I think from '75. You don't get the
report but there are a couple of links and one to a report on Kennedy
McFarlane, which is a recent one from Scotland.
I think that I have a couple of old reports on my shelves at home but
there must be a list of names around - I doubt whether many are
available electronically?
