RESEARCH PROFESSOR / READER (PHYSIOTHERAPY)
£44,303 - £70,870 (dependent upon qualifications and experience)
A strategic investment initiative has resulted in this exciting
opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to help
lead research developments within the Physiotherapy Subject Area. You will
make a significant contribution to the development and leadership of the
Institution’s Research and Commercialisation Strategy; obtaining external
research funding and providing a focus for developing an enhanced research
ethos within the Institution; and enhancing the Institution’s reputation
as a research-led university.
Applicants should have expertise in the area of exercise. This could
include a background in areas such as physiotherapy, exercise physiology,
sports science or movement science. With an established international
reputation, you will be able to inspire and lead a successful research
team, and form constructive collaborations with external individuals and
agencies. With a clear strategic vision for the development of research
activity in the area of exercise, you will have an impressive track record
of successful research funding applications and publications.
With a postgraduate research degree, you will have an established
international reputation for research. With a positive outlook, you will
have interpersonal skills that will enable you to work well with
colleagues, research students and outside contacts. The Physiotherapy
Subject Area has very good working links with clinical partners and with
external research collaborators. There is a strong commitment to the
development of interdisciplinary education and research within the School.
