Today (20. March) is the feast day of:
Martin of Braga (d. 580) Martin first appears in history introducing
cenobitic monasticism to Galatia. He served as abbot until becoming
first a bishop and then archbishop of Braga in 572. M. was an active
missionary to the Arian Sueves and has left several interesting
treatises.
I suppose, not in Galatia, but in Galitia, on Iberian peninsula. His origins
are in Pannonia, probably of roman family. Matej
