italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
The University of Warwick is celebrating the fortieth anniversary from its foundation.
To mark the event, as well as the launch of new joint undergraduate and graduate courses, the Department of Italian and the Department of Classics & Ancient History are organizing a lecture series and a two-day symposium on the following topic: 'An Uninterrupted Dialogue: Italy and the Classical Tradition' (see programme attached).
It is envisaged that where the symposium will appeal primarily to scholars working in related fields, the lectures will address a much broader regionally-based audience interested in the legacy of the classical tradition in the modern world.
