I'm trying to find sources of information on the following, ideally
for the UK, for England, E&W or Scotland but information from other
countries hugely appreciated too:
1. Prescribing rates for Ritalin/methylphenidate in Children
2. Prescribing rates for SSRI's in Children
3. Total funding across the UK for CAMHS (Children and adolescent
Mental Health Services) and the comparison of how the funding is
split between acute and community based services.
4. Breakdown (costs or just numbers) of CAMHS (or all) service
provision between psychology, psychiatry, and psychotherapy and
counselling based services. And also any figures on any other
specially trained child workers if it is available.
5. Waiting times for CAMHS services.
This is not my expert area (I'm more of a psychometrician!) but I'd
hugely appreciate any pointers to good resources. So far, I'm
tending to come up with figures that aren't broken down by age (e.g.
the fascinating DoH total prescribing data) or else finding pretty
little.
Reply to me and I'll summarise back to the list with heartfelt
gratitude!
TIA,
Chris
